Trying all New Zealand Craft Beer: A Beer Club

I decided that it would be a good plan to try as many beers made in NZ as possible (ignoring the stock standard fare until later). And so the challenge begins. Myself and 6 "colleagues" who have the same interests will gather once a month at a beer club and sample New Zealand Craft Beer! The initial brief is...Lets start with ale...s! I'm starting with the southern most brewery, Invercargill Brewery and their Pale Ale "Stanley Green" The rest will be revealed after the "tasting"

Cyclists should be banned - April 2011

A ring in joins the crowd tonight... not sure what to make of us but soons warms up. Up first the latest Brewer's reserve from Emersons, the Bird Dog Pale Ale. All agree this is very good - a modern classic from Dunedin. Up next after the devastation that two of the boys brought Greenman "cyclist" we jumped in.... to the "water with a hint of flavour", no wait its beer with L&P actually forget it, just buy L&P. Distinct taste of citric acid and only 2.5%. The other 4 are being sent back. And now for a beer with flavour, the Croucher Hef a cloudy wheat. "Its marmalade in a jar" Post - maiden bathing" Not too bad but may not hurry back. Pink Elephant Golden Tusk Special. BIG, strong and tasty... we get "ghanayan beans". And to finish off its some Epic PA and Lager.

And that makes it 134 different brews!
